This week we have a guest cartoonist. All the way from France in the 1800’s. Actually, Daumier was a painter not a cartoonist, but this watercolor has always intrigued and convicted me. Here, while the doctors argue the cure, Death hauls off the patient! How combative & competitive I feel at times. In all our theological & political wrangling, I pray that hearts who need to hear the gospel (lost immigrants & terrorists, lost gays & pagans, lost pundits & politicians, lost atheists & religionists, lost liberals & lost conservatives) are not lost in the smoke & fire of our scuffles. That Death wouldn’t win while we debate.
