well, i can say i tried to change myself as a full time evangelical ‘born again’ Bible thumping missionary in many ways shapes and forms including pleading, ‘faith healing’, ‘renewing my mind’, ignoring the fact that I was attracted to women and then gave up…began drinking heavily and left the church altogether. I still believe in God and Jesus and pray every day, go to AA and am in recovery. But one thing I learned…I could not change my sexual orientation and God did not change my sexual orientation. Instead, after years of damaging my own heart and mind, I came to accept myself and the person that I love as my partner. Call it whatever you want, in the end God will have to judge for himself But I think God will probably question me about the depth of my honesty and faith instead of my biology and the way that I am attracted to the same sex…
You are not a christian if you are living in sin and are completely unrepentant about it. Homosexuality is a sin and if you are not willing to repent of your sin then you are not a Christian. Also your honesty and faith are not going to get you anywhere with God because you have rejected his grace and traded it for the love of a woman.

And, therefore religious dogma aside it seems impossible to claim that being gay is immoral. As for the idea that accepting homosexuality slowly caused the destruction of ancient civilizations, you need to prove that first, accepting gays timed with the downfall of the society and second, that homosexuality is the CAUSE of the downfall.
4) Now as for your concept of love needing to be validated by Jesus, is this this the same Jesus that trashed banks and the same god commanded the murder of women and children (Ezekiel 9:5-7, is this the love that calls for the rape of women and the murder of their children before their very eyes (Isaiah 13:15-18 NLT), and allows for the murder of slaves (Exodus 21:20-21 NAB)? If this is god’s love I don’t want it and I don’t wish it upon any fellow human being.

Why do you have to be so intolerant of homosexuals? Many of my friends are homosexual, they are all very outstanding people. I have seen them with their partners, they genuinely love each other. Probably more than most straight people. Many of them are also Christian. What is wrong with that?

He believes that homosexuality is a sin because he’s a Christian who actually believes in the bible and for that I give him credit.

well, i can say i tried to change myself as a full time evangelical ‘born again’ Bible thumping missionary in many ways shapes and forms including pleading, ‘faith healing’, ‘renewing my mind’, ignoring the fact that I was attracted to women and then gave up…began drinking heavily and left the church altogether. I still believe in God and Jesus and pray every day, go to AA and am in recovery. But one thing I learned…I could not change my sexual orientation and God did not change my sexual orientation. Instead, after years of damaging my own heart and mind, I came to accept myself and the person that I love as my partner. Call it whatever you want, in the end God will have to judge for himself But I think God will probably question me about the depth of my honesty and faith instead of my biology and the way that I am attracted to the same sex…
You are not a christian if you are living in sin and are completely unrepentant about it. Homosexuality is a sin and if you are not willing to repent of your sin then you are not a Christian. Also your honesty and faith are not going to get you anywhere with God because you have rejected his grace and traded it for the love of a woman.
Because I am sure you live your life 100% sin free.
