Zealously and without a warinevg of doubt, I read my bible morning, day and night. However, I then went through, what Kierkegaard referred to as, the Great Earthquake . I haven’t read my bible’ in 6 years. I felt on and off guilt through my own pressure and also that of many others. Comfortingly, I learned that the ancients viewed scripture not only as word but, dually as Word and Nature.I had so many evangelical friends who raved and loved the movie The Book of Eli , all the way up to the end. That last clip of your cartoon reminded me of what they hated when in the end of the movie, the bible is placed amongst the likes as what you have drawn. That was one of my favourite parts.
